The Neyyar life Sanctuary is a vibrant canvas of exotic flora and thriving fauna in Trivandrum.The sanctuary which was established in 1958 is of 12000hectares in space has affluent vegetation and is one of the foremost exquisite wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala. The wildlife includes elephants, Sloth Bears, Nilgiri Tarhs, Gaurs, Sambars, Barking Deers, Indian Porcupines, Malabar Squirrels, Tigers, Lion-tailed Macaques, Jungle Cats, Wild Boars and Nilgiri Langurs.The sanctuary is also known for its migratory birds.
